About the Defining the Disability Scholarship

This scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student, or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

The candidate must submit a 750-1000 word essay response to the prompt: Discuss how to define disability in today's world compared to its traditional medical definition. As you explore what disability means to you, share how it has played a role in your life, whether through someone you know or through your own personal experience. 

Scholarship Amount: $1000
