TBA Accounting Student Scholarship Program ($1500 per semester up to $12,000/various dates)

The duration of this accounting scholarship program shall be a maximum of three years and is available to students who:

• Are classified as residents of Texas
• Are enrolled at a participating college or university in Texas, including the five community colleges (Austin Community College, Houston Community College, Lone Star College, Dallas College – Mountain View campus, and San Antonio College) that offer a comprehensive accounting and business program that meets the education requirements of the Board
• Are enrolled at least half-time majoring in accounting and attending consecutive semesters or in the final semester of the degree
• Have filed an Application of Intent to take the CPA examination with the Board
• Have completed 15 semester hours of upper level accounting coursework at the beginning of the term in which the award is being made
• Are deemed to be making satisfactory academic progress
• Have registered for the Selective Service or are exempt from this requirement
• Demonstrate financial need
• Have not met the education requirements for certification in Texas as a CPA

Scholarship Amount: $1500 per semester/up to $12,000 overall
